Current Update On School Resumption In Nigeria(New Resumption Date )


    The Nigeria Federal Government has announced the date of resumption for all educational bodies and has left the decision for all school administrator and state governments to decide on how to manage it health measures while setting up to reopen, but the presidential taskforce warns that school authorities should take care as they should proper protocols in reopening schools

  “School owners and managers are advised to seriously consider implementing a staggered daily resumption schedule, classes on alternate days during the week, and utilisation of distance learning methods as a complement to physical classes. All pre-primary–nursery, daycare and kindergarten–classes and schools in both public and private schools must remain closed.

  It also approved the resumption of public and private schools from September 21, 2020, adding that only Junior Secondary School 3 and Senior Secondary School 2 pupils in public schools would resume for physical classes.

   Other tertiatry school academic activities such as date of semester examination for undergraduates, Examinations for admission into the 2020/2021 academic session, matriculation, and other plans have commenced after  the federal government has announced the new date for school resumption. 

Info: Nigeria has about 90 polytechnics, 28 Federal owned, the state government has over  47 and 20 private polytechnics and Colleges of Education counts up to 100.

Here are a few of the activities and list of institutes still selling out Post UTME forms and processing admission into the 2020/2021 session.


 Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State has begun the admission process for the 2020/2021 academic session. The closing date for the post UTME form is 31 October 2020.

Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State has begun the admission process for the 2020/2021 academic session for entry into ND 1. the polytechnic  Post UTME screening and check applicants' credentials still up.

Federal Polytechnic Offa Post UTME screening exercise for the 2020/2021 admission exercise would be done online.

Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State have begun the admission process for the 2020/2021 academic session

Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State admission screening exercises for ND/HND programs into the 2020/2021 academic session has started and will close on the 28th of November 2020.

Federal Polytechnic Bida has begun the admission process for the 2020/2021 academic session and the form for the admission will close on the 31 October 2020. Fresh and returning students might begin online registration soon.

Federal Polytechnic Oko had begun the admission process for the 2020/2021 academic session

Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, Imo State has begun online lectures from Monday 7 September 2020. Assignments, quizzes, and exams for the semester will be online.

Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny, Rivers State had begun the admission process for the 2020/2021 academic session.

Yaba College of Technology, P.M.B. 2011, Yaba, Lagos State has extended the date of its 2020/2021 post UTME  and screening will begin on the  26 of October 2020.

Petroleum Training Institute Effurun Post UTME screening exercise will hold on the  19 of September and it will be repeated on the 21 of November for those affected by the delay of  WAEC or NECO result.

Airforce Institute of Technology (AFIT),NAF Base Kaduna has announced to all freshers that got the 2019/2020 admission to complete all registration process before the 8 of September or lose the admission giving to them.

Enville Institute of Management and Technology 2020/2021 admission process has started.

Peaceland College of Education, Enugu has begun the 2020/2021 admission process

Federal College of Education (T), Umunze has begun the physical clearance for all students that got admission for the 2019/2020 academic session. the exercise will end on the 25 September 2020. more updates coming soon.....
